SOUTH MOUNTAIN CONSERVATION HERITAGE FILM FESTIVAL & PANEL DISCUSSION

Pennsylvania has been called the “Cradle of Conservation” for the role the state and many of its leading citizens played in creating a popular conservation movement in America. Join us to view short documentaries on two of Pennsylvania ‘s foremost conservation leaders – Maurice Goddard and Ralph Abele. Learn more about our state’s conservation and environmental heritage and share ideas on how to share these stories and to inspire future leaders.

Panelists: Cindy Adams Dunn, acting secretary of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources; Pete Duncan, former secretary of the Department of Environmental Resources and colleague of Abele; Marci Mowery, president of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation; and Paul Zeph, director of conservation for Audubon Pennsylvania.

Moderator: Caren Glotfelty, executive director of the Allegheny County Parks Foundation
