Trout Unlimited – Adams County Chapter

| Concococheauge Creek Trout Habitat Enhancement Project |

The Adams County Chapter of Trout Unlimited, in collaboration with Michaux State Forest staff, The Nature Conservancy, the national Trout Unlimited staff and additional local Trout Unlimited chapters (Cumberland Valley and Falling Spring chapters), completed a targeted habitat enhancement project on an impaired stretch of the Conococheague Creek formerly impounded by the Chambersburg Reservoir (drained in 2003). This project was the second phase of a two-phase restoration effort, and resulted in the installation of 13 habitat improvement structures within the Creek. On-going physical and biological monitoring continues to track the improvements in the stream quality.
