| Pine Grove Area Historical Interpretation |

The Cumberland County Historical Society lead a project to develop a historical exhibition entitled Pine Grove: A Lasting Legacy, which focused on four distinct activities in the Pine Grove area: the iron industrial complex at Pine Grove Furnace, the Civilian Conservation Corps Camp #51 (1933-1942), the Prisoner of War Interrogation Center (1942-1946), and the Camp Michaux Church Camp (1946-1972). In addition to the year-long exhibit at the CCHS Museum, the Historical Society also partnered with the Central Pennsylvania Conservancy and the Pine Grove Furnace State Park to install a permanent exhibit in the renovated Ironmaster’s Mansion.
