The Appalachian Trail Museum, located in Pine Grove Furnace, opened in 2010 thanks to untold hours of volunteer effort. In preparation for this opening, the South Mountain Mini-Grant enabled the installation of the Earl Shaffer shelter exhibit in the Museum and the design and implementation of interpretative panels.
