This project will fund part one of Phase III restoration efforts per the recently completed Boiling Springs Historic Iron Furnace structural engineering review. The restoration work will be the first of two planned phases, with the first phase devoted to replacing the cap of the furnace, seal vent holes to prevent water infiltration, re-point sidewalls, and repair the interior support structure of the furnace. Recommendations of the structural engineering review will be implemented, and will be the first of two planned restoration phases.
