Funding available for projects in Cumberland County
The Cumberland County Planning Department is once again accepting applications for its Land Partnerships Program, with $100,000 budgeted for its 2015 funding round. The funds, which arise from Marcellus Shale drilling fees collected by the state and distributed to counties across Pennsylvania, can be awarded to municipalities and local organizations for the acquisition of parks, for parks and trails projects, for the creation of ordinances or comprehensive plans and for water-quality projects. More information on this grant program is available here.
