Slag & Water Walking Tour
September 1 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Join a local historian to see the furnace “head race” and “slag heap,” a mountain of waste products from smelting iron. The walking path is uneven: wear appropriate shoes, and bring a hiking pole if you wish.
If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit. With at least seven days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
