MLK Day of Service

Gather with participants from throughout Franklin County to learn more about the meaning and purpose of service to all and the importance of community-building and social-cohesion. The day will feature a variety of virtual events giving participants an opportunity to sign-up for the type of experience they want and fits their schedule, including:

9am-9:30am: Welcome & Keynote Address
9:30am-12pm: Educational Workshops & Roundtable Discussions
12pm-1pm: Lunch (Grab & Go from select minority-owned businesses)
1pm-2pm: Performance, Reflections & Closing
Participants will be encouraged to perform acts of service (at home or solo) and random acts of kindness throughout the day**
​Participants are encouraged to display unity and solidarity by:

Wearing their MLK Day of Service t-shirt at virtual program events & throughout the day
Displaying MLK Day of Service yard signs
Sharing images of their acts of service, random acts of kindness or other MLK Day of Service activities on social media
