#1: Kitchen Gardens: Abundant Harvests at Your Back Doorstep
In the first of a series of five spring Garden Talks, gardening expert Melissa Irwin presents an in-the-garden program on creating a bountiful “kitchen garden.”
Learn tips and tricks for getting food from your garden to your table this year. From veggies to herbs, you can add a taste of the season to every dish you prepare with a simple kitchen garden just outside your back door!
The Monterey Pass Battlefield Museum will be open especially for attendees of this event.
Melissa Irwin is a naturalist who has experience working with the Audubon Society and Moonfire Orchard. She holds a degree in Environmental Studies and specializes in all things growing in soil!
Participants should wear shoes appropriate for being inside the garden. Seating is not provided, but feel free to bring a chair.
