Adult Hike & Learn: Vernal Pools

Vernal Pools are temporary ponds often used by frogs and salamanders to lay their eggs. During this program, you will learn about and help to monitor these fascinating and vulnerable ecosystems.
About the Program:
12:00 – 12:45 PM Indoor Presentation
12:45 – 1:00 PM Drive to Pools
1:00 – 2:30 PM Vernal Pool Hike
The hike will be about 1.5 miles on flat, uneven terrain. Waterproof boots are highly recommended, but you will not be entering the water.
