The Land Conservancy of Adams County partnered with the Adams County Agricultural Land Preservation Program, the Watershed Alliance of Adams County, the Gettysburg National Military Park and the Eisenhower National Historic Site to compile a handbook on the how and why of preserving land. The main goal for the booklet was to raise awareness of opportunities to preserve land and to inspire landowners who may be interested in preserving their land to do so. The booklet captures the stories 14 properties that have been preserved throughout Adams County.
