In conjunction with the Newville Borough and the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau, the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail Council designed and installed thirteen interpretive signs along the existing segments of the Rail Trail. Designed to enrich the experience of trail users, these signs shared information on the history of the Cumberland Valley Railroad and the rich farmland that abuts the trail on either side.
